Our success in being shortlisted as a finalist in the Care Innovator Award in the South West is due to the work we’ve been doing in establishing Countrymen UK as an innovative alternative to other models of provision – especially indoor day care centres.
The Countrymen UK option is based on using farm and countryside environments for meaningful outdoor activities and socialising with peers. In short, it’s about therapeutic outdoor activity in the fresh air.
In 2019, Countrymen UK was a finalist in a different category and we were awarded a Special Commendation. We may go even further this year. We’ll keep everyone posted.
